Terms of service
Parlé is an 18+ product operated by Beargle Industries, currently in private beta. Using it means you are an adult where you live and you accept what is below.
What Parlé is
It is a private place to write down how you and your partner run your dynamic, and to signal each other about capacity and safety. It is a notebook with structure. It is not a counsellor, not a doctor, not a lawyer, and not a safety service. Nothing in it is medical or legal advice.
A signal you send in the app is a message to your partner and nobody else. No emergency service is contacted, no third party is alerted, and nobody is monitoring it. If you are in danger, use the emergency number where you live.
Consent is yours to hold
Everything you agree to in Parlé is between the people in the dynamic. Writing a rule here does not make it binding on anyone, and an agreement in the app is not a contract. Consent can be withdrawn at any time regardless of what is written down, by either person, and the app is built to let you do that in one tap.
You may not use Parlé to coerce anyone, to involve anyone under 18 in any way, or for anything illegal where you are.
What we can and cannot do for you
Because your content is encrypted with keys we do not hold, we cannot recover it. If you lose your passphrase and your recovery code, nobody can get that dynamic back, including us. Keep the recovery code somewhere you will actually find it, and take an export now and then.
This is beta software run by one person. It can break, lose sync, or go offline. Do not treat it as the only copy of anything that matters to you.
Ending it
You can delete a dynamic or your whole account from Settings, whenever, no reason needed. We can close accounts that break these terms.
The boring part
Parlé is provided as it is, without warranty, and Beargle Industries is not liable for loss arising from using it, to the extent the law where you live allows that. These terms are governed by the law of Ontario, Canada. If we change them we will say so in the app rather than quietly swapping the page.
Anything you want to ask about these terms goes to privacy@spicerack.guide.
